As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude and excitement to share my achievements in 2024. Obtaining my associate's in photography has been a long-standing goal of mine, one that I have diligently worked towards since 2020. It has been a transformative experience that has not only sharpened my skills as a photographer but has also deepened my passion for capturing the beautiful moments of life.
Photography is more than just a career for me; it’s a way to connect with my couples and share my unique perspective through my lens. The thrill of entering the prestigious "Icon International Photography Awards" in Las Vegas has pushed me to explore every facet of my craft. Competing among thousands of talented photographers from around the globe is exhilarating. I entered multiple categories, including Groom Alone, Bridal Party, and one of my personal favorites, Photojournalism.
This year, I am incredibly proud to announce that I earned recognition in several categories, including two silver awards for the Groom Alone category, both scoring an 80. My Bridal Party image also scored an 80, while my Photojournalism photo achieved a score of 81! Which made it into the top 10 finalist!! This image will be printed and hung at the photography expo and will have a chance to win 1st 2nd or 3rd place.
Each award feels like a validation of the countless hours of hard work and dedication I have poured into my craft. It’s empowering to know that I am on the right path. The awarded images will be shared in late March after the live competition takes place in Vegas. Stay posted the winning image could be of you!
As I close out 2024, I feel a profound sense of accomplishment not only for earning my associate's degree but for the creative growth it has sparked in my business.
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of my couples. Your trust, patience, and cooperation have been invaluable to me. Without you, none of this would be possible. The creativity we share is endless, and I am excited to continue this journey together.
